I was a big fan of the mighty oxblood, I swear I was. But a few days ago I couldn’t help but shriek a little when I learned that Pantone (the color authority) announced that emerald green will be the colour of 2013. As I said I really liked blood red as a trend, but it pulling it off while being a redhead is a bitch. Some say it looks good, but I feel it’s too much red and I stand by the saying: too much is too much. Meanwhile, emerald goes hand in hand with red. It’s such a rich and powerful combo, I’ll feel like Ariel while wearing it! “Green is the most abundant hue in nature – the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum,” says Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “As it has throughout history, multifaceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate. Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today’s complex world. This powerful and universally appealing tone translates easily to both fashion and home interiors.” I couldn’t agree more. If you’re still in two mind regarding how a~wesome emerald is, I hope my huge ass collection of emerald clothes, jewelery and interiors will help you decide <3

Another thing that I really like about this colour is how it seems to fit any kind of style and fabric. For example, I can’t really picture yellow velvet or a khaki coloured evening dress. It might be just me though.
Thank you for reading! I hope you’ll enjoy emerald as much as I will! Have a nice evening <3

Nice! I actually have many green clothes in my closet so will become one happy shopper!
Sweet, I’m ahead of the trends. I already have a ton of green from my last green phase.
Gorgeous pictures – inspiring!
