I’ve loved ballet for as long as I can remember. Last year the russian ballet team came to Cluj, but sadly I missed their performance, so you can only imagine how excited I was to hear they’re here again. Their show was yesterday and it took my breath away (it rhymes, haha). The costumes, the dance, the grace and the music, ah, the music was so beautiful I had shivers running through my body, got goosebumps and tears in my eyes. We had seats in the last row, which was perfect for I could sit on the back of the chair and see perfectly (I’m so short I couldn’t see from the third row if someone taller were to sit in front of me) and I could take photos without bothering anyone (mom was getting annoyed at one point but I puppy eyed her and told her I NEED to snap some more and she gave up).

I’m still smiling like an idiot as I try to remember the highlights of the show. As Tchaikovski’s music started playing while still dark I started shivering and as I closed my eyes, I was remembered once again I was born in the wrong era. Obviously my mind started drifting away, picturing my life as a princess but mom kindly elbowed me back to reality. The show started, ballerinas were sliding graciously on ice and I was bouncing not so graciously in my seat. At one point I remembered I was supposed to take photos, so I did. It was my first time shooting subjects in motion and I was so anxious, but I’m quite proud of the outcome. I hope you’ll enjoy
