A meow massages the heart

My outfit for the second day of JPT :) A lot of people were cosplaying, so I thought I’d join the freakshow, haha~

In the beginning I was really embarrassed about wearing the ears but eventually I got used to the stares. I wish I had a tail too!

Inside a Japanese supermarket

Walking around Japan, you can spot convenience stores at every corner, there are so many of them my cousin said once that if a small red dot would mark a conbini on Japan’s map, it would all be red. But have you ever been inside a supermarket?

For I know I have only entered one during my second trip to Japan, out of curiosity. You can find what you need in conbinis most of the time, so there was no need to look for a supermarket. But I thought the way it’s organized is pretty interesting, so I’ll share. In my country all supermarkets are like a gigantic store with everything you need in it, but this one in Sapporo was the other way around! It was made out tens of small, individual shops. A lot of them offer freebies for eventual customers to taste and on of your Japanese friends told us a lot of people just walk around tasting freebies and that’s a meal :D

So many delicious cakes and crepes and sweets, my tummy is rumbling only as I’m seeing these pictures again ;~;

What are supermarkets in your country like? Have you ever been in one in Japan? Thank you for reading and take care!

A feast for the Gods

I forgot completely about the pictures I took last month, when we celebrated my beloved mother’s birthday. It was on the 20th of April (born on the same day with Hitler, lol :D ) and we ate at the Japanese restaurant. My best friend monstrupufos was with us because even mom loves her~ We had some lovely food and lovely time on a special day.

My little brother, battling with the dessert.

And my beautiful mother <3 Happy birthday once again. If you ever read this, I love you. Nono and the little bug also.

Girls just wanna have fun

And fun we had! Worn this on an awfully warm Saturday, the day in which I’ve worn lenses for the very first time.  Unfortunately since Sunday the weather changed and it’s been raining on and off, hopefully if will be sunny again soon :) . On a lighter side, I’ve only got two more exams, a few final grades to adjust and school’s over! Three whole months of freedom, can you imagine that? I’m so excited!

Shirt: H&M

Skirt: Zara

Shoess: Guess

Necklace: Accessorize

Finally some variety, huh?

My favourite picture from that day, haha~ I thought I was going to fall at one point, but I’m still alive : )

Thank you monstrupufos for the pictures!

Going to crawl back in my little nerd hole to study. What are your plans for today? Are you as busy as I am lately? Thank you for reading and take care! : )

RIOT!

I think you’ve already figured out I have a thing for graffiti, right? : ) I just love colour cluttered walls, unfortunately there are not many around my city, most of them are just cuss words regarding soccer teams. Nevertheless, I shall present you the outfit I wore on the first day of JPT :) I wanted it to be comfy since I was going to move around a lot, yet spiffy. This is what I came up with!

Showing off my hair, haha : D

All my clothes are from Zara, lol :’D I really need to start doing some online shopping since soon enough my whole wardrobe will only contain Zara.

Showing off my badge~

And the back of the skirt! Thank you for reading, lovelies!

Sponsored Review: Geo Angel Brown

I was kindly sponsored by the guys from Pinkyparadise.com with my very first pair of lenses! I was really hesitant because my eyes are really sensitive and the smallest thing can cause a killer headache, but I’m wearing them as I type and I honestly can’t feel anything, not the smallest discomfort.

They came in those tiny vials and I received the cute animal case to hold them in :)

Ta dah! One lens in! Putting it in was pretty tricky, but the left one was much easier. And also to everyone who thought I’ve got perfect skin, I present you my acne and freckles :’D

Here you can see the enlarging effect too, it makes my eyes look huge!

Both lenses in, with foundation&concealer. I had to wait a bit before doing the rest of my makeup since my eyes were teary and I was really paranoid, kept wondering if it was normal and generally freaking out since I was finally wearing lenses.

With makeup: you can click the photos to enlarge them so you can see them better. All in all, I’m completely satisfied. After my eyes got used to them, I couldn’t feel a thing. They make my eyes look huge and the colour is beautiful too. 5/5!

And a little something for you, dear followers! I have a coupon, which if you enter when buying lenses, you receive a cute animal case and a secret present! The coupon can be stacked, meaning if you buy three pairs, you receive three cases and three presents. The coupon is ileftmyheartintokyo. Happy shopping!

Beautiful Japan: Tokyo, oh, Tokyo!

I’ve missed making a Japan photography post, so here it is! The last pictures taken in Tokyo before heading up north, to Sapporo. Most of the pictures in this post have been taken in Asakusa, Shinjuku and around Ginza, I think. I remember the moments as if it all happened yesterday, but sometimes you can’t quite put a name on a place. Has it ever happened to you?

Make a prayer in the city of sin.

The Asakusa Beer Hall, or casually known, the flying poop (or was it fart?). I was deeply amused when my Japanese friend pointed to it and explained, because I was just wondering inside my head if it would be rude to say what I thought it looks like. It’s supposed to be the burning heart of the Asaki beer, but well, you can see for yourselves.

We took a boat ride and reached the Shinjuku Gyoen (park)

Japan must have some amazingly skilled urban planners because the views are just breathtaking. Everywhere you go, there will be at least one sight you will never be able to forget.

Around Ginza. We were looking for an open restaurant to have some lunch before taking the train to Sapporo (with a brief stop in Aomori)

And a last glance back to the city that stole so many hearts from innocent travelers. I have to admit I didn’t fight much too keep mine, I just… left my heart in Tokyo :)

Strut for me and show me what you’re working with

Sad swamp monster was sad because she ran late and had no time for her makeup and missed the good sunset light too! I completely forgot about emailing the guys from TIFF my CV to apply as a volunteer so I had to do that since it was the deadline. This is what I wore to a dear friend’s 18th birthday party. One year and a bit until mine!

Dress: Zara

Shoes: Zara

Necklace: H&M

Purse: Stradivarius

The dress is absolutely beautiful, but sadly, since I’m a little on the short side it’s impossible to wear it without (very high) heels. Perfect party dress, nevertheless~

Finally! Some wind :)

Had my Romanian exam and pretty much messed it up because I spent too much time studying what it turned out I didn’t need to. I don’t think I’ll fail it, but the grade won’t be good either. Hope you had a better day than me :(

PS: Click on any photo to enlarge it!
