Browsing through this blog, I realized I must seem a pretty shallow person in your eyes. Fashion, makeup, fancy places it’s all I’ve written about. But I’m so much more than that, I can’t figure out why I haven’t posted anything more, let’s say, deep. Maybe because I’m a pretty shy person and it takes me a while to find the words to describe the way I feel or what I really think. But I promise you, I’m more than a pretty face and a nice style. I just need some time to open up and get used to this blog too.

Okay how can one get used to their own blog, you might question.

I’ve been blogging on tumblr and blogspot before and both times it took me a while to get used to my readers, and most importantly, to the site itself. The way this page, in which I’m writing looks like. Sometimes, while posting a fashion post, when I can’t find my inspiration I go and write it on tumblr and paste it here, because there I feel more relaxed and I’m familiarized with the page layout.

I know you ARE following me for the ~shallow~ posts, but personally even when reading fashion blogs I love seeing little posts with more actual details from the owner’s life and mind than pictures, pictures and pictures. So look forward to getting to know me better from now on : )

  1. Allright, I would love to getting to know you better! I always like personal posts, that remembers me that there’s a person behind this with his/her own thoughts.

  2. You don’t seem a shallow person, Nnena. I follow you on Tumblr and I love your personal posts, your words have always seemed to me pretty sincere and sweet. Sweet, that’s what I think you are. This blog is another side of you, a not very deep one, but still is a part of, a beautiful one that must be respected and appreciated. :)
Also, you’re always talking about your best friend and your family… These are little details about your life.
Anyway, more personal posts will be very appreciated.
    xx

  3. I just started following your blog and I have honestly loved what I’ve seen. I just started a blog not too long ago, its also a fashion related blog. So writing about the same thing I understand how you might think people get this one image of you and its possibly a negative one. If they do however, then they don’t really understand the meaning of a blog. Its an extension of ones self. I never judge the writer of who’s blog I am reading. The fact that you wrote about your concerns just shows me and hopefully anyone else that you are in fact so much more than fashion and that kind of lifestyle. So please, keep up the awesome work!!!

    • First of all, thank you for following, haha :D Ah, thank you so much for this kind message. I know what you mean! Well, unless they say something like, “who cares how many animals died for this fur coat, isn’t it soooooo pretty?” then I don’t judge either :) Thank you! Hopefully everyone will be okay with it.

  4. you know what’s the problem… hey i don’t want to make you feel bad, but the truth is that people are not equal in this world, even in democratic societies, as there will always be rich and poor, there’ll never be equality as that’s how ppl want the world to work like. the problem is that some ppl don’t have any chances in life, which are ofc limited due to lack of money, while others can buy clothes from particular brands (and only for shooting purposes, not bcz they have nothing to put on), and go to Japan numerous of times and go to trips to other countries and order expensive stuff via the Internet et cetera. Ofc there’s also a difference between rich people, there are rich, richer and richest … It’s a pity though that ppl want to blog about clothes and promote consumerism and none of the extremely popular and known celebrities use their popularity to talk about more important issues like famine in poor countries and environmentalism problems. it takes the courage to talk about such things (aka to lose followers and hence money by promoting for-the-mass-not-interesting issues). hmm, but that’s not your case. and yeah i don’t want to judge you, it’s just that society promotes consumerism and wants to make ppl have a mutual way of thinking and not use their own brains and that’s why most ppl think that way.
Just keep on doing what you’re doing and be happy, bcz that’s why ppl live right, to be happy and achieve their dreams, whether it is to have a meal tomorrow, have a planet to offer to future generations or have plenty of pretty clothes …
Only because I wanted to say what I think of okanemochi. But doing popular things to be liked by the mass is not bad as far as one doesn’t forget the true virtues and one day learns how to well spend the gained money, to put them into a good use.
And I’m sorry if this was so directly spoken (rather than metaphors is better to speak openly). I hope you won’t feel bad but that it will rather make you think a bit, as that was my point, to make you think a bit differently – doublethink. Bcz I would really hate it if someone who doesn’t know me suddenly attacked one manifested side of my likings (like your fetish for blogging is) so I would really hate if u got this the wrong way.

So long~ and peace out V

    • You may have not wanted it to come out like this, but it really sounds like an attack, haha~ You don’t know me and honestly most of the things you said here are false. I’ve never bought clothes for shooting purposes and I’m not rich. Yes, my parents have money but that is not my merit and I’ve got no right to brag about it. This is a blog to share my creativity and my fashion views but that doesn’t mean I’m not interested in the world’s problems. However, people are here to see me wear pretty clothes, not to read about famine, sadly.

Please don’t look down on me by telling me things like “one day you’ll learn to spend your money” because yet again, you don’t personally know me, so you don’t know what I may be spending my money on…
