Week In A Glimpse: Keep it clean

This week has been a really busy and eventful one for me. Exams and tests are coming and this week-end I’ve had the honour to be the official blogger of Japan Play Transylvania (posts about it coming soon!). I’m really nervous regarding my exams, but hopefully things will run smoothly. If I won’t post as much, I hope you will be able to understand.

Fashion wise, this week I was pretty lazy, probably because school started again and I can’t really dress up as I want to every day, nor have the time to arrange an outfit in the morning. Therefore I’ve been looking for simple yet classy outfits that can be worn in everyday life. This is the outcome!

One exception to the rule, but this outfit was too cute to skip! I really love the thigh highs, I haven’t seen this design before (I’m in love with thigh highs, I own around 10 pairs)

How has your week been? What about your fashion choices of the week? Thank you for reading!

Welcome to the family

Japan Play Transylvania is right around the corner (tomorrow) and I am very, very nervous, I’m almost bouncing on my seat as I type. Obviously nothing in my closet felt good enough for such an event so I went shopping but the typical scenario happened: You have money and you actually need something nice, but you can’t find anything. I tried on a million outfits but nothing but this dress looked right to me. It’s from Zara and it’s a beautiful beige. I fell in love with this design (front short~back long) last summer when I was in England and it took Romania a year to catch up on the trend, apparently.

A shirt. Another typical scenario, if I like the writing on a shirt I have to have it. On this on it says You are mine and below, realy tiny, I am yours. I was thinking about wearing it with a pair of mint or black jeans but I’m nowhere near confident when wearing pants so the plan failed.

Simple, black shoes. Needed some since my old ones are embarrassingly ragged.

A really warm welcome to my new baby! It won’t surpass my beloved Canon, but the macros it does are really, really nice. It’s the camera I won together with the title of the official blogger of Japan Play and I must use it tomorrow (one more reason I’m anxious, I can’t use my camera)

Aaaaand, suspense! What’s in this cute package shipped from Japan?

Falsies! It’s turning into a habit that once a year I’m buying false lashes, apparently. I’m wearing them right now and they look really nice :)

Ah wish me good luck tomorrow, I’m a nervous wreck right now! Thank you for reading! Take care <3

Howl, Baby

I’d like to begin this post by expressing my complete astonishment regarding my post getting Freshly Pressed. I’ve never expected that, not yet at least. I am so, so grateful for all of your nice comments and all the likes and the new followers, thank you so much! You’re all such beautiful people!

Then, yet another good news! I swear yesterday was one of the best days of my life. They picked me! I won! I’ll be the official blogger of the biggest foreign culture festival to have ever taken place in my city, I think in my country also! I’m so…proud of myself! And that’s a feeling I rarely encounter.

Moving on, this is an outfit post! I wore this on the day my best friend (check her blog out!) came back from London and my mom took mercy on my poor soul and gave me a night off from carrying boxes and helping her move out.

A special outfit, that is, since I’m wearing my favourite shirt of all time! Funny how I was able to find a shirt with a wolf and something written in Japanese, two of the  things I love most.

Jacket: It’s from my trip to Italy, I can’t remember the shop and it doesn’t have a label

Tshirt: Pull and bear

Skirt: H&M

Shoes: Zara

Purse: Mango

Close-up on the shoes and my beloved hair.

The purse.

My make-up was already packed so I had to go out with my bare face (thing that doesn’t happen too often). Noticed the lack of face in the previous photos haha? Well so you won’t think I’m a shallow blogger who want everyone on the internet to think she’s got a perfect face, here you are! Hope you won’t go blind or something, haha :D

Thank you very much for reading!

Beautiful Japan: Sapporo, my love

As the title says, I fell in love with Sapporo. To be honest while traveling north I always kind of missed Tokyo and didn’t look forward to reaching Hokkaido’s biggest city. But oh, when we did! It was love at first sight!

I think I got attached to it because it’s roughly the same size as my hometown, rather small and somehow more welcoming and safe than huge cities such as Tokyo. It’s a lot harder to get lost and a lot easier to find your way around due to it’s street structure (blocks like in New York). All in all a clumsy people (me) friendly city!

In the picture above you can see the back of the Sapporo station. I found the starry clock on the building very beautiful.

If I can remember correctly these pictures were taken in the park close to Sapporo’s City Hall. Look how beautiful the lotuses are!

A really interesting thing about Sapporo is its underground mall. Me and my cousin had to wander a bit before finding it, but when we did I also stumbled upon the first Liz Lisa shop! I bought two beautiful dresses and a jacked and I fell in love with the shop staff’s style. There I discovered gyaru.

Here is the entrance on a typical Japanese shopping street. Narrow, cluttered with all kinds of shops and people, a mess. A beautiful mess, that is.

Thank you for reading! Have a beautiful day <3

Week In A Glimpse: The Slacker

As the title says, I’ve been cheating a bit when it came to week in a glimpse. The special edition was posted late and on top of that I’ve skipped a week. I’ve got a good excuse, but don’t we all?

Anyway, I’m typing from our new apartment now and I can say I’m very happy regarding pretty much everything about it! My room is kind of small, but the view is absolutely breathtaking, I can see the whole city! The sun is setting as I’m writing and I have to stop writing to glance on the window, it’s ravishing.

I’ve slid slightly off topic, haha :D This week is more varied, I think. Above we can see a host off duty in Harajuku. I really like his boots and the way the man purse compliments the outfit.

I would kill for that coat and hair! Okay, probably not kill kill, but kill my hair and money :’D She has a star on the bridge of her nose and I’m really curious if it’s tattooed or drawn.

Keeping it simple but cool. The hanging scarf is a really nice detail, together with the purple hat.

I love the general feel about this outfit and her pose and facial expression portrays it even more visible, but I don’t like the tights. I would’ve chosen simple black or faux leather ones.

I love her hair! Although I’m not a big fan of the shoes, I have to admit they match the outfit.

I’ve been having a thing for full-white outfits lately (well, except for the creepers) I love the flower hairband she has.

Don’t you find it adorable when parents don’t quit their styles when they have a kid? And even more, they take care to dress up their kids cutely too! I love seeing nicely dressed kids on the street, meaning when parents actually take time to make the kid look fashionable rather than to throw the first clothes on the poor baby.  Well as long as it’s not taken to extremes (7 year olds wearing Tommy Hilfiger and Chanel?)

These two are my favourites!

So, lovely readers! I hope you’ll have an amazing week ahead of you. Ah tomorrow I’ll find out who won the JPT contest and I’m so nervous, wish me luck! Thank you for reading and take care!

A new beginning

Everyone says spring is the perfect season for fresh starts, right? Well, me and mom will be taking advantage of that to renovate our house. We’ve been living here for ten years and we both have been feeling that all these old items and memories these walls held have been keeping us stuck in the past. So we are going to change everything, from furniture to decorations to the paintings on the walls.

I was pretty much against changing my room in the beginning since I loved it so much, but I realized living in the past will not help me in any way and I need a fresh start.

To sum it up, we are moving in an apartment for a few months until the house will be renovated. We are supposed to move tomorrow, so this week has been hectic. We’ve started packing since Monday and I haven’t had much free time, hence the lack of updates. I’ve carried so many boxes I can’t get rid of my back ache no matter what I do and until today I didn’t have an internet connection either.

I am really sorry for the lack of blog posts, but as you’ve read, I’ve been really busy. I took a lot of photos these days, of what my home used to look like too, so please look forward to it!

Also this Monday will be a very special day and I am SO anxious. There will be this Japan Related festival in my city (Read more about it here) and they have organized a contest to select their official blogger. I applied and did my best to stand out and on Monday they’re announcing the winner and I’m so jdasdkaljdkaj worried and anxious because it would be a dream come true. Both Japan and blogging mean so, so much to me…

Thank you for reading and wish me luck!

Soft, Sticky and Sweet

From my head to my feet! Haha, from how much cake I’ve eaten this Easter, I suppose I am.

Spring is here and I can’t stop myself from taking pictures of the blooming trees. They’re nowhere near as beautiful as Sakura (the Japanese cherry trees) but they’re pretty nonetheless. And the air smells so nice! (unless a truck goes by while you’re gazing at the sky and honks you too, to fix the mood)

I still have a week of holiday, but I won’t have much free time since we will renovate the house so we’re going to move in an apartment for a while. But anyway, it’s an outfit from a few days ago. It was so warm, I didn’t need the coat (realized it too late though).

Jacket: Zara

Skirt: H&M

Lace Shirt thing: Present

Necklace: Present

Socks: Zara

Heels: Zara

Coat: Zara

As I told you in my last outfit post, I’ve dyed the tips of my hair red and it looks awesome (I think :”D) Even dad likes it, who’s usually against any type of fake-ness, even make-up.

Flowers! I feel so bad for people with hay fever, spring must be hell.

Thank you for reading! Have a nice day <3

Untitled

Browsing through this blog, I realized I must seem a pretty shallow person in your eyes. Fashion, makeup, fancy places it’s all I’ve written about. But I’m so much more than that, I can’t figure out why I haven’t posted anything more, let’s say, deep. Maybe because I’m a pretty shy person and it takes me a while to find the words to describe the way I feel or what I really think. But I promise you, I’m more than a pretty face and a nice style. I just need some time to open up and get used to this blog too.

Okay how can one get used to their own blog, you might question.

I’ve been blogging on tumblr and blogspot before and both times it took me a while to get used to my readers, and most importantly, to the site itself. The way this page, in which I’m writing looks like. Sometimes, while posting a fashion post, when I can’t find my inspiration I go and write it on tumblr and paste it here, because there I feel more relaxed and I’m familiarized with the page layout.

I know you ARE following me for the ~shallow~ posts, but personally even when reading fashion blogs I love seeing little posts with more actual details from the owner’s life and mind than pictures, pictures and pictures. So look forward to getting to know me better from now on : )

My Favourite Lipsticks: Easter Special

As I promised, after posting my make-up collection, here come the reviews. Since a review of a lipstick would be quite short and rather boring, I thought I’d review my favourites all in one post! Also since I’m celebrating Easter tomorrow, this will be an Easter special blog post!

Left to right/Up-Down on the swatch picture: Shiseido Perfect Rouge – Tender Sheer, MAC Viva Glam – Gaga, The Body Shop no 66, YSL Rouge Pur 131 and Lancome L’absolu Rouge 132

Here are the swatches. Below are on the lips~

Shiseido Perfect Rouge – Tender Sheer 10/10

It’s a perfect nudy pink colour, perfect texture and longlasting too. I don’t even need to use a lip balm before applying it because it’s moist enough. Unfortunately I can’t remember the price, but I bet it’s worth all the money since it’s an all time favourite.

MAC Viva Glam – Gaga 9/10

I remember buying this right when I got into make-up, around three years ago. Now my poor rouge is broken because I forgot it in my jeans’ pockets and washed them : ( Anyway, it’s not a full score because I don’t really like it’s texture. If your lips aren’t perfectly smooth before using it, it will look awful. But all in all it’s a really nice shade and I feel bad for breaking it ;~;

The Body Shop no 66 8/10

I love the texture and the colour, but I wish it didn’t sparkle. The package isn’t too attractive either, but it’s the perfect shade of orange that I’ve been looking for everywhere.

YSL Rouge Pur 131 10/10

My very first red lipstick. The colour is amazing but a bit too strong for me so I always just tap my lips a few times and use a chapstick to even it out. The texture is perfect also, really easy to apply and longlasting. It’s almost over though : ( This one was kind of pricey, but it deserves all its’ money too.

Lancome L’absolu Rouge 132 100/10

My favourite of all time! I swear I’ve never seen such a beautiful shade of red anywhere before. You can’t really see it in this picture, it’s better to look at the swatch one. I can’t even find my words to describe how much I adore this shade. A really nice texture too, and it smells delicious : D If you need a red lipstick, I recommend this wholeheartedly.

So, pretty bunnies! Have a beautiful Easter if you’re celebrating it tomorrow, if not, I hope you had a beautiful one! Thank you for reading!

Hunger Games

Hello hello my friends? How are you? I am in high spirits even though my (inexistent) romantic life has been pretty disappointing these days. Spring is finally here! Trees are blooming and the air is filled with their uplifting scent. I really love this season, especially after such a long and cold and snowy winter.

I have also worn lashes again for the first time in a long, long while. I missed doing gyaru inspired make-up. I’ve just ordered new lashes and lenses to complete the look so I’ll be practicing again!

Shirt: Zara

Jacket: Zara

Skirt: Pull and Bear

Creepers: TUK

Necklace: Claire’s

Headband: Accessorize

I love my new creepers <3

Make-up close up~

And the beautiful friend who took my photos~ Thank you baby!

Thank you for reading! Have a beautiful spring, lovely readers!

EDIT: Silly me, I forgot to explain the title : D This is the outfit I wore when we went to see The Hunger Games. Since then I dyed the tips of my hair red and I am the girl on fire, haha <3
